Our Team
Madison
Madison’s love for horses began at a very young age. As a toddler, she would ride around her grandparents’ ranch on whatever pony was available. At the age of 6, she was enrolled in Dressage lessons at a local barn. From that point forward, Madison participated in weekly lessons, summer camps, and local shows. As a teenager, she shifted focus to Hunter/Jumper and 4-H shows. This allowed her to ride multiple horses each day, gaining experience in training various types of horses. During this time, she began working as a horse camp counselor, supervising and coaching children ages 6-14. This is where she found her true passion: sharing her love and knowledge of horses with others. After graduating high school, Madison went back to her roots and began training in Dressage once more. Not only does she enjoy the precision, dedication, and challenge that surrounds this discipline, but she also appreciates the strong connection needed between horse and rider. Over the past several years, she has had the privilege to work with highly respected dressage trainers and is continuing to further her equine education, a never-ending pursuit for knowledge.
Madison strives to offer a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment where riders can simply enjoy interacting with our wonderful horses. While the lessons are centered around learning to ride (and will be greatly focused on position, balance, and biomechanics for the serious rider), there is more to horsemanship than just riding. Rather, she hopes to help students learn how to properly care for and develop a bond with their equine partners. A true horseman (or woman) is patient, kind, and believes there are never bad rides, only learning experiences. Madison hopes to foster these values in the next generation of equestrians.
Ella
Ella was thrust into the horse world at birth. As the younger sister of Madison, she tagged along for every lesson, show, and clinic. At the age of 3, Ella began taking lessons of her own. Although she enjoyed riding, she gravitated toward 4-H halter classes, which she participated in with her miniature horse, Rain. As her riding progressed, Ella unfortunately suffered a few confidence shattering falls. Shortly after this, she found her current pony, Bounce. The perfect teacher, Bounce helped Ella regain her confidence and begin 3-day eventing, the pair’s true passion.
Ella has a unique ability to reassure even the most timid riders. Her calm nature is appreciated by unsure beginners and horses alike. Her past experience with riding setbacks allows her to understand any potential fears a rider may have and offer ways to overcome these fears. Her goal is to help all riders feel confident, improve their equestrian skills, and enjoy their time with horses.
